The TAC-TX bullet is a special purpose expanding all-copper bullet that is optimized around AR platforms. AR's feature shorter carbine length barrels which reduce the muzzle velocity when compared to a standard barrel length. To achieve the same terminal performance that Barnes fans are used to we added a larger tip to allow more fluid to enter the nose and modified the bullet cavity to maximize expansion at lower velocities. These bullets track straighter through barriers and have better weight retention than lead-core bullets.

The .308" 300 ACC BLK TAC-TX 110 GR FB was designed and optimized around the 300 AAC BLK and its velocity range. We offer other 30 Cal TTSX & TSX bullets that may shoot well in the 300 AAC BLK but their internal cavities were designed for higher velocity cartridges and will not provide sufficient terminal performance in this cartridge or similar cartridges. The cannelure is correctly positioned so you can crimp into it.
